The Chapel Hill Residence project originated as a straightforward renovation of the bathroom and kitchen within an existing 1970s timber house. However, it evolved into a substantial architectural extension that redefines the home’s spatial experience.

The design introduces an L-shaped addition to the rear of the house, which, in conjunction with the newly created terraces, meticulously frames a private courtyard. This extension serves as a sophisticated response to the surrounding verdant landscape, enhancing the home’s integration with its natural setting. The resulting courtyard creates a tranquil environment, offering an immersive experience in nature that fosters relaxation and contemplation.
